Cookie policy

Which cookies this site uses, what each one is for, and how you can accept, reject, or change your decision at any time.

1. What cookies are

A cookie is a small file that a website stores in the browser of whoever visits it, and that it can read again on later visits. They're used to remember preferences, keep sessions logged in, or, often, to track user behaviour across different sites for advertising purposes.

2. Which cookies this site uses

We distinguish two types of cookies by purpose:

Technical cookies (always active)

Necessary for the site to work. They don't require consent because their only function is to provide a service you've expressly requested (Art. 22.2 of Law 34/2002).

  • vs-theme — stores whether you've chosen light or dark mode. Created when you click the theme toggle button. This is technically localStorage, not a cookie: it never leaves your device.
  • vs-lang — stores the last language you viewed the site in. Also localStorage, not a cookie.
  • Polylang language cookie — remembers which language we show you between visits.

Analytics cookies (require your consent)

We use Google Analytics (via Site Kit by Google) to understand how the site is used — which pages get visited, where traffic comes from — so we can improve it. These cookies only activate if you give your consent in the banner shown on your first visit.

  • _ga, _ga_* — Google Analytics. Distinguish users anonymously/pseudonymously. Expire after up to 2 years.

Google may process this data on servers outside the European Economic Area. More information in Google's privacy policy.

We don't use advertising pixels (Meta, LinkedIn Ads, Google Ads), social media buttons, or third-party cookies for advertising purposes. Analytics is the only non-technical cookie on this site.

3. How to manage your consent

The first time you visit the site you'll see a banner where you can accept or reject analytics cookies. If you reject them, the site works exactly the same — analytics only helps us, it doesn't change your browsing experience.

You can change your decision at any time by reopening the cookie preferences panel from the link in the footer, or by clearing this site's cookies from your browser:

  • Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Clear browsing data → Cookies and other site data.
  • Safari: Settings → Privacy → Manage website data.
  • Firefox: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and site data → Clear data.
  • Edge: Settings → Privacy, search and services → Choose what to clear.

4. Changes to this policy

If we add new tools that use cookies, we'll update this page and, where applicable, ask for your consent again before installing anything on your browser.
